The BIT-AMENA (Asia and MENA) Center for Building Innovation Economies, Haas School of Business at UC, Berkeley aims to create innovation ecosystems that will create 10 million jobs in 10 years. It does so by helping to create an innovation ecosystem localized for each country, planting the seeds of hi-tech entrepreneurship on a massive scale, and investing in & helping accelerate 100K startups in 10 years. Its plan of action is to advise key government officials of selected countries, provide policy support in collaboration with John Hopkins (SAIS) and UC Berkeley School of Public Policy, help create a hi-tech entrepreneurship culture, and build awareness about social innovation.
